Building Bridges
to Our Common Future<\/span><\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

The work of the National Wildlife Federation has never been more urgent. At a time when our divisions seem to define us, the land, water, and wildlife that connect us all offer a way forward. Our collective love of nature\u2014a shared patriotism of place\u2014is the common ground upon which we must build a better future. This year, our work has been defined by the act of building bridges for conservation\u2014spanning partisan divides, connecting diverse communities, and linking Americans across geographies and generations\u2014to recover wildlife populations and restore habitat, act on climate, advance environmental justice, and empower the next generation of conservationist leaders.<\/p>\n\n

We are also clear-eyed about the challenges. We face an unprecedented push to hollow out the federal agencies that steward our natural resources, weaken environmental protections, and sell off our public lands. These are not reasons for despair. They are our call to action.<\/p>\n\n

In the face of our current reality, we are doubling down on our core strength: uniting Americans. Our One Federation<\/a> of 52 state and territorial affiliates provides the local expertise and grassroots energy for our work. We are strengthening partnerships with Tribal Nations, farmers, ranchers, conservation organizations, and many others. Just this year, not only did we successfully restore habitat for beavers, pronghorns, bighorn sheep, and hundreds of other species, but we also kept millions of public lands in public hands and helped secure billions of permanent funding for farmers and ranchers. Our greatest victories are forged upon bipartisan common ground, and we continue this tradition by championing pragmatic, science-based solutions like the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act<\/em> and the North American Grasslands Conservation Act<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n

Our most important bridge is the one we build to the future. Through our education and engagement efforts, we are connecting current and future generations to the wonders of wildlife. The stories in this 2025 Impact Report are testaments to this work, made possible by our seven million members, supporters, affiliate leaders, board, and dedicated staff. From the stunning wildlife stories watched by 55 million people on NBC\u2019s The Americas<\/em><\/a> to restoring native wildlife habitat in backyards, schoolyards, and communities, your support makes a difference for wildlife in every corner of our country and beyond.
