In 2025, we recruited over 15,000 new Certified Wildlife Habitats® to support our Native Plant Habitat Impact suite of programs. Over 30 State Affiliates operate the Certified Wildlife Habitat® program across their states.
Certified Wildlife Habitats® is one program in our suite of community-based conservation programs, which comprise an estimated 4 million native plant habitat acres created in suburban yards, rural properties, urban gardens, school districts, colleges and universities, small businesses; places of worship; public gardens, and community spaces across North America and at embassies around the world. Programs include Community Wildlife Habitat™, Schoolyard Habitats®, Sacred Grounds™, Mayors’ Monarch Pledge and Trees for Wildlife™. We continue to expand through the ongoing leadership of NWF’s national and regional staff and state affiliates.
