The City of La Crescent worked with the local Lions Club and Rotary Club, as well as students from the Montessori STEM school to plant over 632 trees. The effort began by planting potted and bareroot trees in city parks and finished with the small bareroot tree plantings. The total number of Trees for Wildlife-supported trees planted was 300. Species planted: black walnut, sugar maple, bur oak, white oak, bitternut hickory, hackberry. Learn more about NWF’s Trees for Wildlife program impact!
