Prairie Rivers Network, NWF’s Illinois affiliate, was instrumental in the passage of recent legislation protecting the Mahomet Aquifer as a drinking water source for nearly one million Illinois residents. The win was a testament to the dedicated work of the Champaign community and local leaders to protect their drinking water.
