The library installed a new native and pollinator garden last fall. When they learned about the Certified Wildlife Habitat® program, they realized they only needed a few more things to reach the goal! So they added more native plants, soaker hoses, and sourced leaf mulch to add to the beds to amend the soil and hold in moisture. A group of volunteers worked all summer to weed and water our habitat garden, reporting on the various pollinators and birds that have stopped by to visit.
