North Olympic Wildlife Habitat Project Celebrates Certification on National Hummingbird Day

In 2024, Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society launched the North Olympic Wildlife Habitat Project. In May 2025, the project became a National Wildlife Federation Community Certified Wildlife Habitat supporting wildlife corridors and diversity of bird species across two counties. On September 6th, 2025, the team celebrated National Hummingbird Day and the designation as a certified community, featuring remarks from NWF staff member Courtney Sullivan and NWF Habitat Steward Julie O’Donald, and proclamations from Clallam County and the City of Sequim.
