The Tree Giveaway was held outside of Village Hall and featured nine species of native trees chosen with input from the Village Forester for their compatibility with local soil and climate conditions. During the spring event, 250 trees were given away. Species planted include sugar maple, red oak, swamp white oak, bur oak, white pine, hackberry, serviceberry, flowering dogwood, and nannyberry viburnum.
